L I M B O²

Limbo² is a personal documentary about experiences, tribulations, and difficulties. I have always dreamed about moving with my family to the U.S. to have better opportunities and a better quality of life, so when the opportunity came across, it was essential for me to grasp it. Limbo² delivers on those difficulties and experiences with personal memories, archival footage, and one-on-one interviews. As a filmmaker, I want to showcase experiences that I value that should be displayed on the big screen, and to that extent I work closely with my one on one interviews to foster deep conversations. I hope everyone that watches Limbo² takes away that there are thousands of people either making plans to emigrate to a new country or have already put their action in motion and that the process itself, while can be daunting, isn’t walked alone.

Crew- Yuanyuan Zhou- Illustrator & Promotional Materials

Yuanyuan Zhou is a current student majoring in MFA Illustration Practice in MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art). Before entering the art field, Yuanyuan majored in accounting and finance and had work experience in education before applying for a master’s degree in illustration. After one year of self-study, she started her journey of being a professional illustrator. As a person from a non-art field, illustration for her is a way to communicate, collaborate with people in other fields and disseminate information visually, and she has dedicated her energy and creativity to that since then.
